This mural was so much fun to do, and I have to admit, it is spectaculor. The nursery is 20' x 20', and the mural was done before Dakota was born! The clients had been to South Africa for their honeymoon, and loved the whole experience of traveling in the bush and seeing all the animals. So, they requested that I paint both night and day and jungle and savannah for the nursery painting. I designed it so that day slowly turned to night, from east to west, as one looked from the west wall, across the north and south walls and the ceiling. I even got the right Southern Cross constellations on the ceiling!
And did I mention that all these murals can be removed and rolled up when your child outgrows them or the family moves? The murals can be reinstalled or rolled up and saved as a heritage for the next baby or maybe a grandchild!
